Maureen O'Hara, an American performer and actress of Irish descent, was a well-known figure. The beautiful green-eyed beauty with fiery red hair was famous by her passionate and fiery parts in numerous American films. Her beautiful and glamorous appearance was a huge hit and she was known as the "Queen of Technicolor in Hollywood. The characters she played on screen reflected her brave, strong character that struggled for survival and recognition in a male-dominated industry. She was always a "tough Irish lass" who would never compromise with her reputation and respect to get the roles she deserved through merit. She was a vocal advocate for women actors in both television and film and gained numerous followers due to this. Her autobiography, 'Tis Sheself", which was released in 2004 provided an honest and unfiltered about her life's events, as well as her struggles as she climbed the ladder to success. She was an adventurous woman who wasn't afraid to do herself stunts. She was an actress in more than 60 films throughout the years and was a pillar of fame internationally. She remarried in 1968 with Charles F. Blair Jr., a former pilot brigadier and chief, who pioneered transatlantic aviation. O'Hara retired just a few years after the couple's marriage. However, her happiness was not long-lasting since Blair passed away in a tragic plane crash in 1978. She was diagnosed with uterine cancer the same year, and had an immediate surgery. She was capable of recovering. The following years her health was declining and she suffered six heart attacks, short-term memory loss as well as diabetes mellitus type 2. O'Hara aged 95, peacefully passed away in Boise on 24 October 2015.
