Rita Ora (British singer-songwriter) is her name. She was born Rita Sahatciu Ora in 1990 in Pristina, Kosovo, to Vera (Bajraktari) and Besnik Sahatciu. Besim Sahatciu is the granddaughter of her mother. Her family moved to United Kingdom at age 1. She was raised in West London and attended St Cuthbert with St Matthias CE Primary School in Earls Court, following which she graduated from Sylvia Young Theatre School and later St Charles Catholic Sixth Form College. She started singing as a child. In 2004, she was featured in the British film Spivs. She was selected to audition for Eurovision Your Country is in need of You as a British participant in the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest. However she was unable to participate in the contest after only a couple of episodes as she didn't feel confident enough. In 2007 Ora got her first music release , when she performed on Craig David's track titled "Awkward" and again in 2008 with "Where's Your Love" with Tinchy Stryder. she also appeared in the music video. Ora started singing in bars in and around London In 2009, A&R reported to Roc Nation about Ora, shortly after Ora flew out to New York and met Jay-Z. Ora was featured in Jay-Z's 2009 video of "Young Forever" and "Over" by Drake. Jay-Z was enthralled by Ora's talent, and was able to sign the singer to Roc Nation. In which Ora was featured in a commercial about Skullcandy Aviator Headphones. She started singing from the same pub where her father, Besnik, was a pub owner. Gwen Stefani was her major influence. Her father was a pub manager and she started her singing career from the same pub. Kate Moss and Ed Sheeran have been friends for a while.
