Emily Swallow

American actress Emily Swallow was born December 18th 1979. She is best known for her roles as Kim Fischer on The Mentalist and as Amara / The Darkness in the 11th season of Supernatural. Also, she appears as The Armorer in the live-action Star Wars series The Mandalorian and had a minor role in the role of Emily in the video game The Last of Us Part II. Swallow was born December 18, 1979, in Washington, D.C. Her family lived in Sterling, Virginia, as in Jacksonville, Florida. Swallow began her acting career at Stanton College Preparatory School. She also took part in professional and amateur theater productions. Swallow graduated from Stanton College Preparatory School located in Jacksonville in 2001. She graduated with an Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle Eastern Studies. She continued to study to earn an MFA in Acting at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. In 2008 she made her feature film debut in The Lucky Ones, a military-themed drama. She starred in world premieres of Donald Margulies' play The Country House at Los Angeles' Geffen Playhouse, opposite Mark Rylance in Louis Jenkins' play Nice Fish at the Guthrie Theatre,[citation needed] and in John Patrick Shanley's musical Romantic Poetry at Manhattan Theater Club. In the year 2010, she won the Falstaff Award as best female actor for her performance in The Taming of the Shrew. She also appeared alongside Jac Huberman in Jac N Swallow's musical romance Poetry at the Manhattan Theatre Club. The show is about the hilarious mishaps of Swallow and Jac Huberman as they face very different challenges in their lives with different degrees of difficulty.
