Magda Apanowicz

Magda Apanowicz (NOH-vitch; Polish: born November 8 85, 1985) is a Canadian actress. Her most well-known roles include her role in the role of Andy Jensen on the ABC Family series Kyle XY, as Lacy Rand in the short-lived Syfy science fiction drama series Caprica and as Emily (born Maya Hartwell) on the science fiction series Continuum. She was a part of the Netflix thriller series You as Sandy. Apanowicz, who is Polish-American, spent the ninth year in Poland. She was raised by her uncle. She attended Jelenia Gora school. She continued her studies at Vancouver Film School. Her brother introduced her to Pulp Fiction at the age 10 and she was instantly interested in acting. She began her career in 2002 by appearing on the TV series Jeremiah and John Doe.From 2007 to 2009 she portrayed the role of Andy Jensen on Kyle XY. In 2008, she appeared as Andy Jensen in Every Second Counts on the Hallmark Channel. In 2009, Apanowicz was cast to be the character Lacy Rand in Caprica's TV drama, starring Eric Stoltz & Alessandra Turresani. Then, she appeared on Hellcats. In 2012, she was the guest star on Jane Espenson’s second season, romantic comedy web series Husbands. In 2013, Apanowicz played Emily in the show Continuum. She was also Samantha in The Green Inferno horror film written by Eli Roth. The Green Inferno was originally filmed in 2012. It was released globally in 2015. Apanowicz was cast in Volition as Angela. The film premiered in 2020.In 2019, Apanowicz was cast in the role of Sandy on the second season of Netflix thriller You.
