Rosamund Pike

Born in London, England in 1979, Rosamund Mary Elizabeth Pike was the sole child of Caroline (Friend) (Friend), a classical violinist mom as well as Julian Pike, an opera singer father. She spent her childhood travelling across Europe as a result of her parents' work. Pike went to Badminton School in Bristol, England and was a part of the National Youth Theatre. Pike first appeared in the National Youth Theatre production "Romeo and Juliet". She was signed by an agent after she was spotted. Pike also began acting at the National Youth Theatre. Although her debut film was a high-budget action movie however, the work that followed was primarily in smaller, independent films like Promised Land (2004), The Libertine (2004), (for which she was awarded the Best Supporting Actress award at The British Independent Film Awards) as well as Pride & Prejudice (2005) as one of the Bennet daughters. A brief excursion into Hollywood film was followed by the action flick, Doom (2005) and the thriller, Fracture (2007), but she returned to films with smaller budgets with exceptional performance in three films: An Education (2009) Then Dagenham (2010), and An Education. Dagenham (2010), and the lead role with Paul Giamatti in Barney's Version (2010).As she continued her stage work in England, Pike appeared in the spy spoof, Johnny English Reborn (2011) as well as portrayed the role as "Andromeda" in the sci-fi epic Wrath of the Titans (2012). She was back in action films with her female lead in the film Jack Reacher (2012). Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher (2012).
