Rena Sherel SOFER

Rena Sherel Sofer is an American actressand model, well-known for her appearances on the daytime network, occasional guest appearances as well as made-for TV films. In 1995, Sofer received a Daytime Emmy Award for her portrayal of Lois Cerullo in the soap opera General Hospital. Quinn Fuller has been her role in the CBS soap show The Bold and The Beautiful since 2013. Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer, a psychology professor, and Martin Sofer, a Conservative Rabbi. Her family then moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, until, after the divorce of her parentsSofer moved with her father and brother David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in the year 1970. But, Sofer lived in Western Pennsylvania when she was a kid. They were brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She then attended the Frisch School, a coeducational Mordern Orthodox Jewish high school located in Paramus, New Jersey. Sofer grew up in North Bergen where her father was the rabbi of synagogue Temple Beth El. She graduated from North Bergen High School, and then went to Montclair State College. Sofer was the first woman to perform as Lois Marie Cerullo at General Hospital. In 1993, she was managing a band. Her first role on television was as Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap host on the opera. Sofer is most likely best known for her performance as Lois Cerullo on General Hospital (December 15 1993 - September 24 1996). She then returned as guest actor (February 7-17, 1997; September 30 September 30 - October 2 1997). Sofer was awarded the Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for Outstanding Supporting Artistress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of Lois. Sofer joined CBS's soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful as Quinn Fuller, a role she had just created. The first episode premiered in July 2013. Sofer has appeared in several notable primetime TV series as a supporting cast member or guest star rolessuch as Seinfeld, Melrose Place, The Chronicle, Ed, Friends, Spin City, Blind Justice, Ghost Whisperer, 24, NCIS, and Two and a Half Men.
