Piper Perabo was nominated for the
Golden Globes in the category of stage, TV, and film actress. She was born in
Dallas, Texas and raised in New Jersey. In 2000, she was chosen in the role of
a breakout character in Coyote Ugly. Since then, she's been featured in films
such as Christopher Nolan's "The Prestige" with Hugh Jackman and
Christian Bale, "Because I Said So" with Diane Keaton and "First
Snow" with Guy Pearce, "Cheaper by the Dozen" films with Steve
Martin, "Imagine Me and You" with Lena Heady and Matthew Goode and
the crime thriller "10th Wolf" with an ensemble cast including James
Marsden and Dennis Hopper. Perabo was in the film alongside Bruce Willis (with
Joseph Gordon Levitt), Emily Blunt as well as Jeff Daniels in Rian John's sci-fi
action film "Looper". Perabo was Annie Walker's television character
in five seasons of the spy drama on USA Network "Covert Affairs."
After that, Perabo played as Annie Walker on USA Network's spy show
"Covert Affairs." The show will air on Netflix as "Turn Up
Charlie", starring with IdrisElba. Perabo made her Broadway debut in Neil
LaBute's controversial production "Reasons to be Pretty" and was
nominated for the Tony award for the best play. Perabo is active in the field
of activism as well as her screen and stage work. Perabo is a Voice for the
International Rescue Committee who raises awareness about the refugee crisis in
the world, and helping people who are affected by persecution of religion,
conflict and political oppression. Piper lives in Los Angeles and New York
City. She graduated from Toms River (NJ) High School North class of 1994. She
was part of all four school musicals. In her senior year she played Katie in
"Meet Me in St. Louis;" junior year, Cousin Fan in "Mame;"
sophomore year, Lady Brighton in "Me and My Girl"" and in
freshman year, she was a dancer in "How to Make it in Business Without
Really Trying." She was the high school president of the National Honor
Society, and also the editor of Polaris the school's literary journal. As a
dancer in the show in the field, she was part of the Marinerettes during high
school.
