Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was conceived in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke is her mother and Doug Chalke are her father. She is the middle child of two brothers, the older one, Natasha Chalke, one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career in a TV-made film called City Boy (1992). After her first movie Sarah was a candidate for the role of Becky on Roseanne (1988) in 1993. Following the time that Alicia Goranson left the show to go to college the show was in search for someone to replace her. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995, and was involved in the making of Roseanne (1988) between 1994 and 1995. In 1994, Sarah co-starred in the film, Ernest Goes to School (1994) as did Jim Varney. In 1996, Sarah starred in two movies: Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996), where she was a cheerleader who was named Krista Wilson. Sarah was asked to be a part in a 1998 show called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. The show was released one year following Roseanne (1988). Based on the show Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (2000), Sarah also appeared in the show. She was able to take over Becky's (1988) role from Alicia Goranson. She declared that she'd like to retire from acting and go to college. [2001] (1993-1997) She played Sara Gilbert's older sister in Roseanne (1988), however, she is actually younger. In attendance at the 1999 CCMA award ceremony, and presented an award for the most outstanding single of the year. (September 1999) At the age of eight, she appeared in Vancouver stage productions. Fluent in French as well as German. She is a volunteer at the hospice which cares for patients who are dying. In her spare moments, Chalke prefers cooking with her friends (especially Thai and sushi) as well as playing the guitar or hiking, ski (she's an instructor) as well as kayaking, snowboarding and reading. Her father is a lawyer, as are both parents are mediators who also run an agency for child adoption. Her parents accompanied her to China two years ago to help coordinate the adoptions of a lot of orphans.
