Alice Jane Evans was born in 1971 to David Evans, a professor of Applied Mathematics at Bristol University and Janet Evans, a teacher of English literature. Alice earned a French-Italian degree at University College London. After moving to Paris she started studying acting at Cours Florent. Us confirmed that Gruffudd got divorced from Evans on March 20, 2021, following 13 years of marriage. A few months earlier Gruffudd had announced on Twitter that her then-husband wanted to call it quits. The couple have two daughters, Ella (13), and Elsie (9). Evans was one of the very few women researchers to get permanent appointments in the USDA Bureau of Animal Husbandry. Later, she was transferred into the National Institute of Health.
