Anne W. Burrell, an American TV chef, and the former Institute of Culinary Education instructor and a TV presenter. Burrell hosts Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, in her Food Network Series Secrets of a Restaurant Cook she demonstrates easy-to-master techniques and her trademark spikey blonde locks. Chef Burrell was employed at some of the most prestigious New York restaurants and studied Italian food traditions and environment. In addition, she appeared on Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the region of upstate New York area, Chef Burrell discovered a love for cooking and food at a young age. She furthered her interest in working in the restaurant business by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America after obtaining a degree in English and communication from Canisius College, Buffalo NY. I was awed by every minute that I was a student at The Culinary Institute of America she states. It was impossible to learn how to do, or even work hard enough. Chef Burrell who graduated from The Culinary Institute for Foreigners in Italy completed a one-year stint in Umbria in Umbria at La Taverna del Lupo and Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, the Michelin-starred restaurant. Through her stay in Italy she grew to truly comprehend and appreciate the concepts of Italian cuisine and its culture, which created a lasting impact on her food standpoint. Burrell has been a member of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that aims to make a difference in the lives of children who face challenges. She is also an Juvenile Research Foundation Celebrity ambassador where she advocates for awareness of the condition known as juvenile diabetes. As a speaker, Burrell goes on a tour across the United States to talk about her love of cooking and food, as well as to talk about her profession in culinary. Anne often has mentioned throughout her culinary career that she's grateful being able to be able to share what's most important to her.
